Not a bad little game. Basically a copy of the Zuma games but everything is well done including good sound, gradual difficulty curve and power-ups that feel meaty and effective. Overall a nice way to waste a bit of time.My only real gripe is the achievements. There are 3 levels of difficulty, but when you complete story mode on the hardest level you don't get the achievements for the easier ones. Means I had to go through the same thing 3 times, and it's not short. I was exceptionally bored by the end and only persevered as I'm stubborn and wanted the 100%. Would have been 7/10 but I'm knocking off 2 points just for that, but I'd still recommend it.5/10. Sparkle 2. Don't be scared away by the name. It's a good game, albeit almost exactly luke Zuma. There's kind of a story, and level progression, and a narrator's voice saying "excellent!" and "good!" when you make matches (Like Bejeweled 3). This game is set apart by the feeling of progression from the levels and story, the inclusion of upgrades like speedier balls or spells, and also power ups that let you explode groups of balls n stuff. One complaint is it still doesn't have 1080p support or widescreen. But it's got cards and achievements! Time to afk it for awhile!. Short version:I'm slowly and surely increasing my amount of ball-games.There's secrets in this game?---Long(er) version:This game reminds me of the days when I played Zuma Deluxe, and was bought for that reason. It's decently difficult at times, and at the moment I'm trying the harder modes of it. I would almost say that this game is even slightly better than Zuma Deluxe, from what my deduction skills tells me so far. Only bigger complaint is the lack of options you can edit. Overall, it is somewhere decent and very nice, more or less what you can expect from a game about balls, and that you can finish it fairly quickly. Is it worth its price? Well, ask yourself how much you're willing to pay to play with balls. Sparkle 2 has been my fav game on my Nokia808 for ages and definitely the best ball popper around and one of the best mobile games in my opinion. I have maxed it out many times.I was curious what the PC version can offer. Well, it is fun. Absolutely recommended. The game pumps out some unrealisticly high FPS and I enjoy the higher resolution, many details are revealed of its nice design that are sort of hidden on the Nokia's 360p screen.On your balls, get set, go!. Sparkle 2 is an enjoyable addition to the Luxor\/Zuma type of match 3 game. A line of different colored balls slowly creeps forward and you have to shoot balls to match 3 or more to make them disappear. If they reach the end of the line before you get rid of them all, it's game over (though I'm assuming you can keep trying after failing). It's in the Puzzle category, but it's acutally an action puzzle rather than turn-based or one that just sits there while you decide what move to make. In this game you have to think fast and have good reflexes sometimes.Occasionally you get power-ups that will help you. Fireballs that destroy balls. Color Match that makes several balls all the same color. There are ones that slow the train or make it go backwards for a short time.There are also equipable power-ups that you can choose once you've unlocked them. Such as unlimited swap of whatever colored ball is currently next in line to shoot. Or every 10th ball you get is a fireball. You can try out the equipables and customize the way you want to play the game.There is a main story with a path that you follow, but there are also other game modes that you unlock along the way.Graphics are nice. I especially like the details on the balls (no jokes please). They aren't just a solid color, there is a pattern to them that is nice.Music is very nice. To me it has a sort of fairytale classical style. Kind of hard for me to describe. It sets the mood perfectly for a jaunt through the creepy forest.I haven't finished the main story yet. I might be halfway through, going on the equipable power-ups that I have yet to unlock, but I'm not sure, and I've played almost 3 hours according to Steam. And I haven't played the other modes yet, either.
